Also posted this on your original thread...

You've got a chance in my opinion. They are VERY heavy compared to a 3rd gen. October '05 issue of HMM lists curb weight at a whopping 4,251 lbs. Don't know about the SRT8 version w/ the 6.1 litre Hemi but the 5.7 is only available w/ a auto. The SRT8 runs low 13's at 108-110 mph. The 5.7 is significantly slower though I don't know by exactly how much. The lighter 5.7 Charger runs about a 14 flat.

You'll lay the smackdown on him if you can drive. Those cars are slower than ****. mid-high 14s, iirc.

Best case for him would probably be low 14s, surely you can best that if yours is running properly. Of course those 305 heads do kinda suck, should still be a decent overall setup though. Launch it decently and you'll walk him I predict...

Any port work on the Torquers? I don't think it would affect the outcome of the race, I'm just interested.

Thanks guys...My sister just bought the car and shes giving me the whole "My new is better its newer!" haha, and I been talking a lot of crap lol. By the way the heads have a 3 angled job and I got some work done so they can accept a 610 valve lift

Guys...It's been done. F**K! its FAST!, however I did beat it 3 times out of 5. I'm serious, that car is a F'ING racing machine! I taped all the vids, I don't know how to upload them to a computer though. I drove that car on the free way and it cought 100 in about 5-6 seconds, I mean incredibly FAST. Only way I took it was off the line then I was pretty much gone, by MYABE 1! car length, We did 5 races 3 like normal drag 1/2 mile races, I won all those. Then, we were rolling at 20, and SHE f'ing SMOKED ME. It was embarrsing. But I mean I give her car loads of credit, you guys were right that car weighs a TON, (5400LBS!) I did a few burn outs, that car chirps those tires pretty quick I'll tell you that. But let me tell you guys this..I wouldn't race one enless you had a pretty quick 1/2 mile car. don't even try on the freeway you'll make yourself look like an idiot. haha. Good race though!

700r4's aren't exactly great trannies for racing from a roll, that's why you got smoked.

They're still high low 14 second cars...

300C hemi is a low 14 second car stock. You have a terrible converter, poor heads, and gears that are simply too tall. The rest of the car is like a stock L98. I don't think you'll win.
