Kill Of the Day

Hey guys, Just had an idea on a good post to start. I am not sure if we have one on here, but basically it is called "Kill of the Day", any race you have had on the streets light to light, and have a good story about it, post it up!

Re: Kill Of the Day

Sure, why not.

Wasn't really a race but my buddy with his 84 CJ-7 4.0 thinks he has some hot rod jeep or something. So we're cruising side by side and he tries to show off by flooring it, well I give him a car length and punch it too. With my ole' L03 I just walked by him, laughing.

Re: Kill Of the Day

Last night I was out on a date (ended horribly I think LOL) and 2 guys in a black RSX are staring at us and he says "lets go" so I agree and the light turns green and I stomped him. Pretty sure I scared the crap out of him too when my car barked them in second. His was completely stock, no muffler or anything. We get to the next red light and he says "that things pretty fast!" I just laughed and told him "nah, not fast enough anyways" and asked him "What are you running? a K20?" He said "Nah just a VTEC!" Lol he didn't even know the name of his motor. So I just said "Oh" and drove off.

Re: Kill Of the Day

Well I think ive got a pretty decent story lol. Back in high school I used to work a part time after school across the street from a chevy dealership. One of the cars they had there though was an nice white 80's corvette right out front. It had been their since I started my job and always caught my eye on my way to work. Now my car back in high school wasnt much too look at. It was a 1983 sports coop as bare bones as they came. Plain hood, base model nose with the holes in the nose, crappy 14 inch wheels (yes thats right factory 14s didnt even know they did that lol) that were an ugly tan from the factory to match the body color. I picked it up for $500 a threw a cote of primer on it and drove it as is for the most part but what little money I did have left went under the hood. It was a sleeper though it did have its advantages. Keep in mind the sports coops are very light with their complete lack of options like no AC, no power anything, didnt even come with a rear sway bar and mine was optioned with nothing but the good radio the 3.73 rear a v8 and stick shift (which isnt even an option really as standards were well standard lol). After some work and swapping in a hopped up 350 that car screamed! Well one day on my way home I ran into that Vette from the dealership on the street. It seems someone was taking it out for a test drive. So the dealer wanting to flex some muscle and show off how almighty that corvette was against a lowly camaro such as mine decided they were going to have a little fun with me. Well Im a good guy not looking for any trouble but it was too good an opportunity to pass up I couldnt resist. Stopped at a stop light when the light went green we gunned it! Immediatly it was clear that almight corvette was simply out gunned that day. I left him in the dust by an embarrassing margin by the time it was all said and done. The next day I saw that corvette back at the dealership and it would remain there for for as long as I was there before going away to college.

Re: Kill Of the Day

I had a run in with a buddy that used to own an IROC-Z, that got rid of it for a COBRA GT MUSTANG, anyway we meat at the light one day and he asked me did i want to run the cars, so i said sure why not, so the lite hits green ane we go, but he beats me by 2 cars every time! so he gets pissed cause he only beats me that much, so i ask him what he has done to the engine he goes on about the heads, cam, injection system, exhaust, gears, and then he tell me hes on nitros lol, so i laugh a tell him i only got cam, intake carb, and good set of hedders. so then he says i should have kept the camaro. I AGREE!!!

Re: Kill Of the Day

well am out yersterday to pick up some take out (chinese food) and on my way there i see this nice IROC-Z very well maintained at least on the outside, so i wanted to get a closer look am driving my wifes Nissan Altima 3.5 SE and as i get closer to the car he starts pulling away, am like ok so i try again now we are side by side and i give the guy a thumps up for the car and he guns it....so i decided i wanted to hear a thank you and when after him....needless to say his car most have been stock. i smoked him now mind you this took place on the HWY i get off my exit and get stock at the light and there he comes he pulls up next to me and like any muscle car lover says " what do you have on that rice can ?" i laught and said nothing all 270hp stock. by the way all i wanted to do was just look at your car is very nice! and i have one am fixing up. he says" well i just didn't want to punch it all the way" .... i guess thats his story and he was sticking to it

sorry guys not the outcome most want to hear but at least a Camaro was involved.

Re: Kill Of the Day

was crusin around in my 92 camaro rs with a 305 automatic. had about a quarter of a tank of gas left and was on my way home and spotted a 09 mustang gt. turned on the street and gunned it past him with my loud flowmaster exhaust we met up at the next light it turned green i beat him off the line but he got to the next light just feet ahead of me i slowed down to fast and my car took a crap and died right when the light turned green and he took off. lol fail on my part needless to say i have a security feature that i have to line up a sensor on my key chain to a sensor under the dash to start the car again and sometimes its hard to find that right spot. took me 5 min and 8 middle fingers, horn honks and a cop passing by real slow but i started it back up and went home. i just gotta laugh at how the car died at the second light as the mustang is peeling off thinking we were gonna race again and im stuck there lol. needless to say i don't let it get under a quarter of a tank any more

Pshft, women around here don't understand cars. My car is pretty slow IMO and she was pinching a hole in the seat because it was "friggin fast" so I had to drive like a grandma.

Re: Kill Of the Day

Ah the times with my 305 I was at the track and this big as full size dodge truck pulls up next to me for the day I was already 0-1 losing earlier to a second gen, but any ways I'm thinking pay back time there's no way I can lose to this big as truck even with my 305 I had my gears 373 and dual friction clutch this one's mine, but I began to notice somthing was different about this dodge like 2 bigggg **s exhaust pipes coming out of the bed and just about every pillar gauge you could have but the hell with it I got out on him and he nana seconds later commense to kicking my **s later to learn those turbo deisel definitly aren't to be taken litely. But that being said let me see him again now things would definitly be different with my new drive train 383 th400 12 bolt slicks nitrous " Mohawk time".

Re: Kill Of the Day

This reminds me of a story. Back when I just had my stock LG4 305 and 5 speed, one night I pulled up next to a full size dodge truck at a redlight. Was prob an 02 or something. Anyways I rev it up and launch it in and the truck just smokes me. Then a few nights later, I get stalked comming out of walmart by a mitsubishi galant. This thing beats me 3 times! After that, driving the camaro wasn't fun anymore. I decided not to remain all stock and put in a 383 and turbo350.

Had a Impala ss lt1 version chased me down caught me at a light he must have been thinking this should be easy 170 hp to his 260 it was priceless revving his motor and all, but things didn't quite go as he planned at the time I had swapped out the piece of sh** Tbi 305 for a carbed 350 and had a 100 shot of nitrous and the what the Fu** look he had across his face as I blew past him a thing of beauty.

Man that is awsome

My kill of the day wasn't to day but last week
Me 96 3.1 MonteCarlo 3 people in the car and a shaker subbox with 3 12's
The loser toyota tundra 2 people

Going down a semi deserted road at around 45 i look in my oversized rearview mirror and i see this truck coming up in the lane next to me fast.
So i got to gun it so he don't pass me thinking hes bad. So i pushed the pedal and he catches his front end almost lined up with the passenger door and were going 65. So i slow it a little and get a nod. So were going about 65 now a car coming up in front of him. So he starts to move to the center lane and i knew it was on. Any way we get up to about 90 or 95 staying about lined up the whole time and catch some traffic and gotta slow it up. Then i saw my opening smashed threw it and called a victory.
