Thanksgiving play time (2010 Camaro SS) among others.
Alright everyone Im in the process of finishing my car up so Im hoping to have a few days to play at the end of my thanksgiving break. Ever since my car got painted people have been wanting to race.
So far lined up I've got these lines up:
2010 Camaro SS
2002 Camaro SS (if its back on the road by then)
2-2000'ish Mustang GTs ( 1 built 300hp)
2 Dodge SRT4s (both are tuned)
Among a few other people around town. I have a feeling traction is going to be a major issue with my car, but no telling how things will turn out since the car hasnt been on the road yet. Might take it easy for the break in process. The 2010 is the only one I am really concerned about though, but the kid is 16or17 so no telling how he will do.
Some of the specs for my car are in my sig the engine is estimated at 400hp to the flywheel and my cardomain has all the info on the engine, feel free to put in ur input on this and how u think it will turn out. All of them except the 2010 have seen the drag strip but I cant remeber the times. I believe the SRTs are runnin around 13.3s

Re: Thanksgiving play time (2010 Camaro SS) among others.
Never got to race. My buddy with the 2010 SS tried to avoid a deer and stuck his car into ditch and then got spun around a hit a rock wall. Car should be about outta the shop now. The one with the 02 NBM SS blew up his clutch. The build GT had an O2 sensor go bad and his car is still runnin lean. And my car wasnt able to get done bc of my work schedule and parts got backed up. Finally got my car drivin, but its got a ways to go before its street ready. We will continue the races once it warms up a bit. and Ill update this thread or start a new one.

sorry but you might beat the srt's.. 400 hp at flywheel wont cut it against an ls1 or ls3 with even one mod..

Re: Thanksgiving play time (2010 Camaro SS) among others.
Im afraid traction is gunna be a prtty big issue for me though. I think the last time the 02 NBM SS hit the track he ran a 12.7. Longtubes and full exhaust on there, not sure exactly what else.
My only concern is really with the two Camaros, mustangs shouldnt be a problem, and the SRT4s are runnin low 13s i believe.

Re: Thanksgiving play time (2010 Camaro SS) among others.
Message me when you come down, we will have to meet up. Im hope for mid 12s with mine, I have no idea what it will run or exactly how much power my car has. I told Jim Downs, owner of JD Performance, that I wanted a 400hp engine and then told him by budget and he said he would do it. And then after all that we ended up switching the heads to ported and polished vortecs from stock L98 heads so no idea how much it really is putting down.

Re: Thanksgiving play time (2010 Camaro SS) among others.
Hey you might wanna think about comin down for the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals April 29-May1 on the bagnell dam strip in Lake Ozark. They dont really have a class that favors our cars, but its a pretty good time. I posted up in the Midwest Region section about it. Im trying to get some more thirdgens down here, its prtty hard there are maybe 10 different ones that I have seen in 4 years and almost all of them werent lookers or runners. lol
