Got surprised today

Ok so I dont have a 3rd gen but know a bunch of you guys so..

Dont normally (actually ever)do this type of thing just kinda happened...15 roll

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ad-test-review

The F10 model

That thing is fast...and from 100 on up real fast
Saw M5 figured it would run hard til about 100 maybe hah.

Backed off at 6800 or so in 4th had a bad vibration from something!?

About pushed him up the onramp with wheelspin in 3 gears however once in 4th noticed his car really started pulling hard;figured it would be the opposite
Couldnt pull me; I couldnt close in from that point either. Dead even sure if Id stayed in it or it 5th he woulda waved good bye to me. lol

Got off at the next exit dude was pretty cool....both had a couple sheet eatin grins- said he was surprised to see me on him bet he smokes most that tries
Couple old guys going at it LOL

Asked him what model it was couldnt have been no regular M5. It wasnt

. Didnt know what he meant by F10 til I googled it. My mismatched 383 did pretty well.
Nice little marker for 200 mi on the car.

There was no F10 badging on it watch out for these cars.

Re: Got surprised today

It takes a whole bunch of torque to move a 4300 pound pig down the 1/4 that fast. Probably while sipping a latte too lol. Thing was dead quiet
I wouldnt own one but was still impressed...and the way that thing really started pulling about 100 thought...oh chit hes boosted never woulda guessed. Im not.

Re: Got surprised today

The regular M5 from 1998 to like 2004 Has 400hp. The regular 540i from those same years is about right in between an LT1 and Ls1 trans am. They definately beat Lt1's.

Re: Got surprised today

May have to find an AMG to pick on see how badazz they are
All I gots a "mismatched" NA 383 in a not so light car.
Just dont like doing it on the street too risky

Orr Im sure you arent worried about too much lol

If I didnt mind dropping 5k Id throw a large snail on mine.

Probably shorten my life expectancy though haha.

Will say this is the last NA car I ever build.

Re: Got surprised today

These cars are inpressive. I seen the mercedes amg cars run into the bottom 12's if not high 11's depending on model, but all between 112-120 mph. For a luxury sedan thats flying. Bmw is no joke either. Incredible driving machines.

Re: Got surprised today

Those cars are very fast with all that power, even in a big, heavy wrapper. Then again at over $100k, they better be - same for the AMG Benzes.

I do consider them dangerous cars as their extreme speed is too much for 90% of the people who buy them - you know, the ones who have a lot of money and want to show it luxury style. Not the cars to loan to a younger driver or anyone not able to handle the speed aspect.

I watched a 4 door AMG car run this past summer....3,000+ DA on a Friday afternoon and trap 125 MPH running 12.50s on street tires. He showed up the next Friday on drag radials and blew through the traps at 11.40 and 126 mph!!!
