Douchebag civic driver

So i was driving down the road on saturday listening to guns and roses and minding my own business when i saw a silver late model civic si flying up behind me. When he got next to me he slowed down and tried getting window to window to me. When he finally did, he was saying something to me but i couldnt hear it, so i had to turn down guns & roses to hear what he was saying.

This is what he said to me "Im going to beat your a**." This kinda stunned me a little bit but i ignored it and kept on driving while he was trying to show off in his car. He got next to me again and said "How do you want to do this?" So i said im not racing because im overheating and must have made him mad because he did the r i c e r fly by thing and drove off, and i went on my way.

So what would you guys have done if you were in my spot?

cut the wheel into his car, push him off the road, light his car on fire and drive off.

seriously, i would have put the window back up, turned up the tunes and continued to mind my own business.

Too bad nobody screws with me when I'm driving my beater truck... last time that happened I brake checked a drunk and he smacked my back bumper and bounced off into the woods.

what i used to do in that situation would open up my cut out purge my bottle and tell him you gotta pay to play.

or you can do what my friend dose and carry one of those traffic signs that say " slow" on them and when they roll up next to you just stick it out the window and laugh at how pissed they get

So? Regardless......what would he have proved by racing that idiot on the street? What if he won? What would he have proved? The idiot in the civic was obviously looking for trouble. The OP did the right thing.

In Texas, driving next to someone and saying you are going to beat their *** might get you a completely unexpected and totally different response. Sometimes from something like this:

yeah lol as long as your a 'law abiding citizen' aka dont start ****.....it is legal to carry a loaded concealed weapon. it is also legal to carry a shotgun unloaded visible or not. GOD I LOVE TX. as for the civic. dude hes driving a civic si. me personally i would have smeared a honda symbol into the ground then slowed down to make sure he saw all four ppl in my car laughing at him. but thats just me.....if i was supercharged i would not have wasted the gas either......

Anyways, I agree completely with this statement. They aren't even worth the gas or time. Just crank up your tunes and give them the ol' smirk They usually just storm off and whine.

Thats retarded. Kids like that give all import owners a bad name. Just the other day I was driving my car home from the shop after installing long tubes and out of no where this civic with a huge fart can is pulling up next to random drivers and nailing the gas. As he was coming up on me he was looking over and right when he got close I droped a gear and reved it at him. He then looked away and slowed down to about 50 on the highway

I would have had a tough time with that....I might have lit up all 406 cubes on him or I might have laughed and asked him why he thought I should waste my gas on his *****.

But "beating my ***" might have got himself KOed too!

Re: Douchebag civic driver

i just yell sure thing lets do it!! i rev the engine back. whether im in my 01 ws6 or my 89 formula 350. when the toolbag is ready i just tool on out at 1500 rpm while the losers shoots off into the distance. its really pleasant when the loving arms of the law gets em. my ws6 is fast my formula is stock and not so fast by modern standards. i didnt buy either to race with bought em for me to enjoy.

i could care less what a pos ***** thinks.

Re: Douchebag civic driver

About 10 yrs. ago I had some ***** in a early 90s crown vic. pull up next to me driving down the road yelling at me to race him. He kept revving the engine in nuetral and slamming it into gear. I just looked at him like WTF and went on about my business. He took off and got pulled over about a half mile down the road.

Re: Douchebag civic driver

I had a kid in a mid 80s camaro, t tops pull up next to me in town. He had this car butchered...stickers everywhere, air shocks in the back and cherry bomb lake pipes (LMAO) and blasting some techno garbage. My B4C is fairly quiet, and I'd just done the injector swap 2 days prior. I gave him a little wave and he couldnt resist revving up his engine and filling my car with smoke...all this at 20 mph. My 14 year old begged me to race him, and I really wanted to... but instead I just dropped the tranny(auto) down into first, dropped the hammer for a second and turned to look at him while he watched my tires completely lose traction. Half a block later he turned off with a stupid look on his face! I felt 18 again...I love my car lol

Re: Douchebag civic driver

No one seems to mess with me anymore I pulled away from a stop light one day at close to half throttle to just above the speed limit and next thing I know, there's some guy on a Harley motorcycle zooming up beside me. He had a big grin on his face and nodded. I don't know if he thought we were racing or what lol.

Haven't been messed with by a Honda in a very long time. if it were me I would of laughed at him and asked him how much money he had on him, if he answered less than a $100, I would tell him it wasn't worth my fuel or time.........

I would have asked him how much of a head start he wanted. One Mississippi? Two Mississippi's? Ten Mississippi's?

If there's no cops, and no other traffic to risk getting injured... I might've kindly humored him. As long as you're not packing an iron duke, it should be fun. Maybe if you put people like him in his place he'll stop trolling for races and learn to drive normally... maybe.

Good advice you gave. I try to tell people the same thing too. Not everyone has access to a local drag strip to do their racing at so the street or highway is all that is left. No traffic, no passengers (preferably) and no cops and let's get it on most of the time. But I raced a Honda or something like it last year (it was dark) on the interstate and we did 2 runs I whooped his butt both times. I only did it because he stalked me as I left a car meet and I figured I'd entertain him.

Re: Douchebag civic driver

Not a big fan of metal but this song helps pump me up and drown out the whines of all the civic drivers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqZ4Pksi1-s
I got a friend with a 90s Saturn coupe (not sure exactly what it is) but he was "showing off" in it tonight. He started it up and the belts were squeeling in it and he then proceeded to floor it. It made a good whine from the engine then the farting of the exhaust kicked in. It gets me everytime, I mean seriously I have seen his car like 5 other times and I laugh so hard everytime! After that he tries to burn out on a bunch of gravel. Damn, it was one of the funnier things I have ever seen!

Okay, okay, okay guys, I was going to hold off on saying anything about my own personal experience with a Saturn owner but when "87IROCZOWNER69" made this comment I just had to say something.

I have an account on Youtube and I have alot of videos I make of my Camaro and other stuff too. I don't ever tell another man my car is better or more powerful (even if I know it's true) but this idiot emails me because of my comment regarding some riced out cars. He told me his 1992 Saturn SL2 would smoke my car because (in his words) our V8's are underpowered and slow & "he eats them for breakfast". Oh and the kicker being he ran a low 13 on just a 75 shot of NOS. Okay.... okay.... fine.

His car being a 16 second something car with 4 banger making about 94 horsepower/torque to the front wheels, I'd say he's banging for a good time, eh? Lol. I replied to him and just politely told him my car IS superior to his and I doubt he ran a low 13 on NOS. That being my point to the punk, if he did even run that, he had to use NOS to do it.

My point is I CAN'T stand punks who run their mouths but then again without these wise-cracks car life would be less interesting! Here is the email this guy sent me, just for giggles, lol.

.... I spilled my coffee on myself when I saw that link.

A 1992 Saturn with a 75 of nitrous, and he thinks he can run those numbers at the track? He must have been at the 1/8 mile track and didn't realize it.

Re: Douchebag civic driver

I'm not defending imports but if you guys want a fun race, may i suggest going up to Milford, PA? First Honda you see with a "street soldier" sticker please race. Be sure to bring a 9 or 10 second car because these guys know how to build rice rockets! (Almost all their cars are low 10's and I've recently heard one of them thinks he's capable of low 9's on his new setup.)
