Who has hooker cat-back?
Just wondering who has a hooker cat-back system. I don't wanna go the flowmaster route cause it seems like everyone runs it. Sounds good but I'd like soemthing a little diff. Anyway who's running hooker cat-back??? I wanna hunt you down at a meet soon or something and give a listen.

Buudy of mine (who has my EXACT car, cept for an auto versus my T-5) has the Hooker 3" system. Dual chrome tips, very nice. I've got the 3" single cat Flowmaster American Thunder TPI setup on my car.
His car has more of a deep, bass, rumble to it, but it's quieter.
My car is a little more tin-like, but it's louder.
If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably get the Hooker because of the fact that the tips it came with look way better than the Flowmaster setup. My Flows is a single out, and it's just a turn-down. No tip.
I've heard that 350's with my setup sound a lot better (lower, deeper sound), tho.

Does Hooker make a single 3" inlet with dual 2 1/2in outlet Aerochamber muffler?
could only find single 2 1/2in inlet and dual 2 1/2in outlet aerochamber muffler on summit.

I have this one: PN 16823 for engine codes G, F and 8 along with Hedmans.
I really like the sound of it even on my crapped out LG4.
I think the tips are now being made out stainless - the older ones were just chrome and the rusted bad.
Edit: I'm referring the to the cat-back - 3" i-pipe etc. and I think it's 2.5" out.

There's no duty on car parts and if you have it expedited properly, brokerage and taxes don't hurt that much.
As for the flowmaster not having enough bass or being too mellow, its not the muffler, its your y-pipe and cat. the combo of those two stocker pieces make the car sound like crap.
The change in tone and feel from my exhaust is incredible. can't wait to get my headers on it...

Under NAFTA, there can't be any duty charges applied to parts made in North America for cars. Only tax can, PST I believe, but I'd have to double check my shipping records for parts.

hey, why go pay big bucks when all you need is a muffler and 3" pipe. I bought my 2 chamber 80 series (loudest, baddest of flowmaster) for 80 bucks canadian, and went to a muffler shop, had it installed for 125$ canadian. 3" from my DUAL cats, and 2 21/2 pipes out back. its really baddass in idle, and is really loud when i feed it some gas (5.7). mY .02

Yeah I definately feel ripped off now, I bought a Hooker Aerochamber cat-back during the summer from Karbelt and after taxes it cost me about $680!
I have always looked through the Jegs and Summit Racing catalogues, but I always thought that after the exchange rate, shipping and taxes were included the price would be way more. I guess I was wrong!
