Acc. mounts and damper

Will an 8" harminic damper fit past the TPI engine acc. mounts? I belive the factory one is 6-7 inches on an 89, Im just wondering If I need to change to the smaller 6 3/4" for my 383 or will the 8" work?

yeah it'll clear everything. it's kinda tucked in there. just make sure to use the timing indicator for it.. the lil mark stamped on the cover isn't going to cut it. your going to need one of the bolt on ones.

Thanks for the info! I will be using a bolt on anyways as I am using an aftermarket timingchain cover with no timing marks
