Cam, Intake, Rocker arm combo?
Ok. Ive decided to get a cam. My current mods are in the sig. I have gathered that I need a cam with about 112 degrees of lobe seperation, but am a little confused about the amount of lift I will need. The TPIS ZZ9 seems a good choice, but is expensive. What is a good alternative to this cam, or is there a better option?
With that decided, Should I go ahead and get 1.6:1 roller rocker arms on intake and exhaust or keep the intake 1.5:1 or neither? New springs? Will these fit under the stock valve covers?
Should I go ahead with an edelbrock or accel intake while I am at it (with my SLP runners)?
Will my 'off the shelf' Fastchip be lacking when I do all of this?
Is there anything else that I have forgotten, or that you guys would suggest? Should i wait for new heads? And the million dollar question.. what will the Horsepower gain be?
Thanks, Doug

I would wait on the heads. The bigger cam will be limited by what the heads will flow. Go w/ the edelbrock base and port match it to your plenum and your plenum to your runners and tb. Since you're buying a cam I'd go w/ the 1.5 rockers for less valvetrain wear.
There's ALWAYS an alternative to the overpriced TPIS parts. What cam you get depends on what heads you're going to be buying. Save up and do it all at once. If you have a fastchip from ed wright he will need to reprogram it for you (should be free) after the mods.
oh yeah, don't get crazy on the lift w/ the stock bottom end, I found that out the hard way.
