Now all i need is a CAM!!

So i just bought these fresh l98 (113) heads and 1.6 RR's and now i'm looking for a cam that will really wake up this monster. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or prior experience with a similar set up.

Here's the mods:

Origionally 305, but now a 350 with 72cc CC heads (non performance oriented)
Speed Density set up, with all the 305 sensors switched to 350.
Bigger injectors (and by bigger i mean i have no idea ho much bigger( might be 24 or 30)
Edelbrock headers, and a soon to be GMMG cat back
WS6 style Ram Air intake.
The car is Manual 5 speed.
MSD 6A ignition Box

i have been thinkiong about a lingenfelter cam, but i was seriously considering an XFI cam from CompCams. I plan on using this car as my daily driver, with the occasional spirited joyride, so i was also wondering with the higher compression, what kind of horseopower range should i be in after the Prom tune? and should i expect higher or lower fuel efficiency?

Thanks once again Guys (and gals if any ).

Re: Now all i need is a CAM!!

Hi Boldguy, Let us know which valve springs you are running so a camshaft can be recommended. Also, since you said that the heads are "fresh", the seller should have (or should be able to get) the spring specs for you. Lingenfelter makes a few different grinds for our engines, which cam were you looking at? The Lingenfelter cams were pretty good back in the day, but they are now kinda dated. XFI are going to be a better choice.

ill ask him what the valve springs specs are but they might be stock l98 Springs...

Re: Now all i need is a CAM!!

I have the stock cam out of my 1991 Corvette if you want it. It's small, but it's what GM paired with those heads.

Re: Now all i need is a CAM!!

or how about this one..
the 60101 cam by lunati:
does anyone have this cam perhaps or am i going to be the guinea pig for this one? but seriously how do you moe experienced guys think this will work with the set up?
Hydraulic. Best mild performance cam. Works excellent in TPI fuel injection applications. Makes approximately 19 vacuum at idle. Great for performance oriented marine applications and heavy towing applications. Perfect Street Rod cam. Has slightly noticeable idle, works with stock converter, A/C.

Re: Now all i need is a CAM!!

Remember you need to know if your engine is set up for a roller cam or a flat-tappet cam. Roller cams are more expensive but totally worth it.

If you have a roller cam I would get the Comp XFI268HR-113.
