Re-routing Coolent Lines Into Throttle Body

I bought a pair of headers from a guy and he was telling a few tricks to gain a few more horse' out of my 305 TPI. He had brought up that by changing some coolent lines around, so your throttle body is getting cool water, not hot water, you could gain almost 10 HP. He said i would have to invest in some new rubber lines, which is no big deal.

Has anybody done this trick? Does It Work? Is it worth it? And what lines do i re-route? I use the car as a daily driver, but to gain 10 more HP, i think i wouldnt harm anything.....i hope!

Car is a 91 GTA Trans AM 305 TPI, with A/C and headers!

Yes everyone does it because they "think" they will get free Hp.
No it doesn't make any difference ; feel how hot the rest of the intake is after driving for 1/2 an hour so having a cool TB makes little difference to temp of air going into the engine

But it cleans up the front of the engine , makes it easier to work on and removes a couple leak potential spots

Get some heater hose and run it from the coolant outlet on the front of intake all the way to the heater bypassing the TB all together.
or cheap out and buy only enough hose and a connector to join the hose from heater to the spigot on the intake
