battery cable reconstruction
Hey,
Can anyone post a picture of their positive battery cable (I guess it has to be from a 350 tpi or 305 motor but mine was deteriorated due to a coolant leak.
I am trying to repair it with the new cable wire I got.
I got a couple of pics from the web and even from here in the for sale section
but they don't provide a good depiction of where that circular splice section
that gets connected to the fuel pump fuse.
Thanks

Re: battery cable reconstruction
Ain't no splice in a cable for a TPI car especially at the fuel pump as that is located in the tank.

Re: battery cable reconstruction
Splice or splitter, whatever it is.
Right from the post (not the thick wire), there is a thinner wire (don't know the gauge of it), about a foot from the positive post.
That's where that thin wire is split in two. One goes to the alternator and the other goes to the fuel pump fuse that is mounted near the radiator.
That is the section I need a picture of more than anything else.
Sorry I didn't clarify that better.
