FIRST TPI build
Well, its been a while. Car is all sorted out with current engine, transmission. Carbed 355 in front of an Extreme Automatics Stage II 2004R, 2200 stall, 3.42 gears in posi rear end. 2.5 inch exhaust thru Turbo mufflers. Here's where the fun starts. I have a brand new set of Profiler 185 heads, a FIRST TPI, and a roller cam that I am going to install. Car is a 69 Camaro.
Cam specs are:
Intake Exhaust
221 223 duration at .050
280 282 duration at .004
.510 .492
104 112 lobe angle (108 sep angle)
Intake opens 6.5 at .050 Intake closes at 34.5 at .050
Exhaust opens 43.5 at .050 Exhaust closes at -.5 at .050
A lot of cool stuff has come out in the way of efi. I've always liked the look of the TPI. I am thinking somewhere around 420 HP and 500 TQ at the crank. Realistic? I could go another way with EFI or put a carb with annualar discharge boosters on it. Thoughts?

Re: FIRST TPI build
Have you thought about how the TPI will be controlled? I think the OEM computers like an LSA of 114. I might have the number wrong, but definitely something you'll want to check out.
I have a TPI setup planning to go into my 85 TA and another set I fully polished for my 78 Vette. Have always liked the look, even though the technology is now old.

Yeah, they usually do. In my case, the previous owner sent me all his bins and results of each. Will plug in the one that matches my combo and take it from there.

Nice. I’ve got a 355 with Profiler 180 heads and a Chris Straub grind retro roller. Should make 420 at the crank (conservative guess) and 475 + tq.

Bolted the the FIRST on a SP383 Deluxe. Used 7730 with Moates Emulator ostrich 2. Tuning took a little while but it's coming along. Used TunerPro RT. Need Dyno session now to dial in SA and WOT AFR for max power. I can feel the Torque waking up at 2500rpm... crazy street car.

Cam was within specs to match the First intake. I have the 835cfm model. Max duration for that intake was 224
