LB9 running a little funny
Gents today I wanted to ask a question about the LB9 in my Formula. It’ll start right up cold, but the car idles a little funny until it gets warm (+/-200ish rpm from normal). If you put it in gear and give it a little gas cold it has a tendency to die. Once the engine warms up it runs fine, but if you try to start when the engine is slightly warm, you have to open up the throttle all the way and crank it a few times (oddly hot start is fine). I’m thinking the car may be running a little rich because it’ll backfire from the exhaust if you let off the gas at high rpm, but it doesn’t have that rich exhaust smell. There’s a whole list of theories I have but I’m definitely a novice when it comes to these things, so if you have any idea of what my problem could be please give your input.

Original injectors? They'd be on my radar. Check and test them.
Coolant temperature sensor, could be having an issue, test that too.
Won't hurt to look for vacuum line breaks (I don't feel this is the cause of you issue though) and spark plug and wire conditions.

Plugs and wires are new. Injectors and coolant temp sensor have definitely been in there for a while, so it probably wouldn’t hurt for me to check them.

did you change something recently? has car sat a long while, like over the winter? timing check is a good, cheap check.

Re: LB9 running a little funny
Car hasn’t been sitting all too long. Recently changed out the distributor cap and rotor, as well as plugs and wires, but that isn’t the cause of my problem. I think something’s going bad in one right or another because many of the parts on the car are old, and this is definitely a new problem I’m having with the car.
