Tutorial: Building a new burnoff module from scratch
I designed this circuit in 2022 after the burnoff module stopped working in a family members 1985 Corvette. It was a fun project that can hopefully help others because the only solution currently is to get a used burnoff module from a junkyard. I've held off on releasing this since its never been tried in a real car yet. As far as I know this circuit should work as intended. Measurements from a working burnoff module in a car and the specifications from the repair manual match the design output. With that said, its never been tested in a real car, and has only been tested on a testbench. So use it at your own risk.
The Git repo includes pictures, documentation, and reference waveforms to build your own circuit. I've tried to make it as straightforward as possible for everyone to follow the process. Please let me know if anything is unclear to improve the documentation.
