LT1/LS1 driveshaft on 3rd gen?

I've got a aluminum driveshaft and was wondering if it would fit on my '91 RS. I am pretty sure it will, but wasn't sure if it would mess up the speedo readings. Anyway, thanks in advance for any replies!

It's a little harder to install due to it's greater diameter, but it's a direct swap.

Breathment, let me know when you do the swap, if its lighter or heaver, and if it pluged right in their. I am looking to do this to mine if its worth it on a daily street driver.

The driveshaft will make a significant difference. However, replace your U joints with nongreaseable solid ones if your running more power.

will the LS1/LT1 driveshaft drop right in with a 700 R4 or only with manual trannys? I don't know for sure if there is a difference between the lengths of the driveshafts or not...

Thanks,
Mike

T-5 and 700 cars use the same driveshaft length.
