9" Ford Ring Gear 4:11 Contact Pattern

Car: camaro z28 84
Engine: chevy 468
Transmission: th400
Axle/Gears: 9 inch 3.25/4.11,axles moser 31 spl
9" Ford Ring Gear 4:11 Contact Pattern
The pictures posted below are with .076" shims. What do you guys think of these patterns,does it look correct? The first picture is the coast side,i'll have to go get another picture of the drive side,it was to big.
The pictures posted below are with .050" shims.
I talked to some people on another forum,and they said .050"-.070 shims sounded like alot for a 9" ford rearend,and most use around .020" of shims.
The pinion on our new richmon gear set,says to set the pinion at a 1.035"
I put a load on the ring gear with a pry bar and turn the pinion by hand.
help help ??????

The pinion gear is too deep. Notice that the contact pattern is concentrated at the root of the tooth. It needs to move up to the center of the tooth, half way between the root and the face. Don't be too worried about the heel to toe position, get the root to face position right.
I see that you are using a Detroit Locker. What other parts are you using in this?
