help! t5 install

just installed my rebuilt trans, with new clutch , wondering what i did wrong? i started the car and it doesn't want to shift very well into gear. Im thinking something with the clutch pedal maybe? or does it just need to be broken in? any help or input is greatly appreciated and its a t5 in an 89 rs

Re: help! t5 install

So I bought a new speedo cable because I'm having issues with leaking fluid, is there supposed to be an o ring in the transmission part? the old one didn't and the new one i bought does't either.

has anyone ever replaced the cable? and is there a gasket supposed to be in between the shifter and trans?

Re: help! t5 install

the cable, on my auto there was a o ring. would make sense for there to be some kind of oring or seal round it.

as for the shifter the is no seal made for it but from what i hear a lot of ppl use a sealent. unsure if why but i guess it keeps things out, fuild in? tho i dont see the fuild making it up to there.
