85 t5 to 86 crank..should work?
should a an 85 t5 input shaft be the same length as an 86 t5 input shaft? just feels like theres resistance in the final 1/8" of tightening the bellhousing to engine..guide pins are lined up just fine and pilot bearing is flush with end of crank shaft

Yup, no problem at all. Bolts right up.
In your other thread, that pic is about a 73 block (note that it's a 509 casting ), which had A NUMBER of T-5s bolted to it over the course of a decade or so. I know for a fact that at least one of them came out of a 91 1LE car, and bolted in EXACTLY as all the other ones I had had before it, had bolted in.
