Transmission Not Shifting Correctly
This started on my way home from work last night. My transmission seems to have problems grabbing second gear, as I can roll along in first fine, but as soon as I step on the gas to accelerate, it high-revs and goes almost nowhere. Any ideas?

Re: Transmission Not Shifting Correctly
There is a process to reset your cable, to the proper rpm shift points. Check and make sure the cable is okay, then adjust it.

TV cable adjustment is what RJ_Moore is referring to - there's a ton of threads on it, and a tech article as well. But sounds to me like your trans is slipping - in which case it's time for a rebuild.

If you have sufficientl fluid level, aint but two choices - adjust tv cable, and if that doesnt help get a rebuild .
