Car: 1989 irocz
Engine: 305 ho
Transmission: t5
How stiff is the clutch pedal suppose to be
I have 305 89 Camaro the clutch was very stiff and I had clutch and slave cylinder went out and now the clutch is very soft still goes in gear but id like it stiffer any sugestions

I have yet to drive my car but it has a pretty soft clutch too. Im coming from a subaru with a cable clutch. Im new to hydraulic clutch systems but i suspect that its going to be a bit softer and smoother than mechanical. The only way to get a stiffer feel is go to an aftermarket clutch i would think.

i believe the stiffness mainly comes from how strong the fingers are on the pressure plate. but also a poorly bled hydrolic slave cylinder can cause soft a pedal.
