It's Ford Type-F fluid with blue dye.

Re: B&M Trick Shift ATF

It's a waste of time, use Dextron and some Lucas conditioner with the fluid change, it helps renew old seals and cleansup valves, definitely helps an old transmission....

Or better yet, straight Dexron with no snake-oils at all.

Re: B&M Trick Shift ATF

It is some locally produced Type F by some local supplier (think "Coastal"... nothing "bad" or anything like that, just, nothing "special" either, just something completely utterly absolutely irrevocably "normal"...) with blue dye.

Marketing gimmick

If you're one of the sheeple, go for it. And put premium gas in your low-compression 305 while you're at it, after all the TV commercial showed at least one pretty girl. (I think?? maybe it was some other TV commercial, maybe it was octane booster, maybe it was some kind of spark plugs, I forget, buy em all........ )

If you're smarter than that, move on.

Since you've got enough sense to ask, I'm thinking you're one of the latter.

The girl must have been on the gasolline commercial, 'cuz it was Chuck Yeager selling spark plugs, and Richard Petty pushing STP.

Have you ever tried Lucas in a high mile Tranny? It actually works, and is not a snake oil. I run a shop and have brought more than one old trans back from the edge w/it. Is it the proper fix, NO, but it will add some miles and durability. We aren't talking high performance apps here just daily drivers. Call it what you like but it does help.
