Only things different about the body are the shifter hole, and the clutch master cyl hole. The console top is different in the Camaro; not sure about Firebirds, kinda seems like there's more to the console in those, and it varies from year to year.
You need the WHOLE pedal assy including the 2 little bracing brackets, the hydraulics, bell hsg, flywheel, pilot bearing/bushing, clutch, throwout, shifter, "lower boot", and ... a transmission. Good luck with that. They're getting REAL scarce. Especially the 2nd design (you don't want a 1st design), and ESPECIALLY the better V8 version with the .73 5th.
As far as "hard", probably no harder than brain surgery is to a brain surgeon. OTOH I doubt you want ME inside your skull with a scalpel. Your call on that.
