92 v6 700r4 question?

will the 700r4 that came with the 3.1 v6 bolt up to a 350 or are the bellhousing patterns different? any help would be appreciated.

could you expand on that thought a little bit. what is the difference between the v8 700r4 and the v6 model?

The 4.3 liter 700s' will bolt up to a v8, but i'm not sure about the camaro motors. There are only two different bellhousing configurations that i'm aware of with the 700 one has a flat top on it and the v8 version bellhousing has a triangle top bellhousing, so if the top of your bellhousing is flat it won't bolt up to a v8. The difference between the two is mainly just the amount of clutches in the drums and the input shaft, other than that all the parts are interchangable, just not the cases

Yeah, the 60 degree V6 tranny found in thirdgens wont bolt up to a V8 because they use a different bellhousing pattern. The 60 degree motors are the 2.8L, 3.1L and the 3.4L.

The 3.8L and 4.3L are 90 degree engines just like the V8's and they will bolt up.
