Does the 2.8MPFI cam have a fuel pump lobe on it Yeah, I know it's a stupid question, but stranger things have been done in the automotive world

my crane 272 does.

I would assume that the stock cam in the MPFI cars also have a fuel pump lobe, because they 2.8 used to be Carb'ed.

Engine: 5.0
Transmission: T5
12 lobes (6 intake, 6 exhaust)
4 bearing journals
1 distributor drive gear
And the parts to a Mustang GT

Fuel Pump is electric, and contained inside the fuel cell (tank)
at least the 88+ or whatever the years are.

Yeah, I know that. But, what I was wanting to do was drop in the MPFI engine, and hook up the carb set-up untill I had a chance to do the wiring swap. I just went and dug out the 2.8 from the corner of the garage and found that the fuel pump mounting on the block isn't cast in. I thought a block off plate was used...guess not.
