My car keeps stalling

As you remeber about 2 weeks ago my car would not start and when i put my foot to the floor the car would start and sputter and then when i would take it off it would die. I took it to the mechanic and it was running fine he did not know what was wrong didnt charge me which was cool. I did have a code 34 and 35 and a 32 I replaced my O2 sensor and reset the ecm.

Now the car is running ok but i am getting bad gas milage still and when i am in traffic stop and go the car dies when i hit the breaks or let off the breaks. But the car runs fine other then that. I think it might be a dirty iac i am also going to do a full tuneup on it. I think but any ideas why i stall when i break?

Vacuum leak. EGR stuck open.

For sure you need to get that tuneup done, that could be all it needs.

Vacume lines replace them all and then get a gauge to check vacume. the vacume on these cars runs nearly all of the engine control crap so if it aint there it wont run right.

I noticed my car idles at 500 RMP and when i have my AC on i do not have any problems stalling. I am going to go over everything this weekend hopefully. I am going to be moveing to my first apt on my own march 10 so moveing will get in my way. Would a vac leak cause my MPG to drop as well?

^ possible. Id check the timing on it while you do the tuneup as well. When I first got my car I had an issue similar to what you were talking about (the stopping in traffic and it dying...and the mpg thing) Havent touched the vac lines on my car but it turned out to be a mix of several things that got fixed when the tuneup was done (bad rotor/cap, timing off and one dirty *** throttle body) Given mine only did that when it's been driven for > hr so the motor was to temp and had been there for a while.

as far as mileage it went from super crappy to ~20mpg (3/4 city) so at least I can deal with it for the time being.

I will be doing a tuneup tomorrow. I also think my Flowmaster 80 series has a exhaust leak comeing from it. I was going to get a dynomax catback how does the exhaust tone on that compare to the flowmaster. I want the dual outlets and a mellow deep tone with as little rasp as possible.

mine has the same problem the stalling when coming to a stop except when i rev the engine. I found out that the place that did my last oil change messed with my mass air flow sensor when they were looking at the air filters. The thing that happened was the maf was loose and they took it off and dropped it could this be the problem.

I have a MAP sensor not MAF. I cleaned my TB today put some new plugs in and found a burnt spark plug wire. so i replace that. Then i found my I pipe where it is welded on the hanger on the exhaust by the muffler is ripped and i have a exhaust leak. I am going to order a dynomax cat back in a fe minutes and pobaly sell y flowmaster 80 series.
