The pic didn't show, make sure it's under 1.0 meg.
I usually reduce the size if I have to.

well here's the link that would be easier for those who have a 56k thanks tho man hopefully this works http://www.omnipotent-goku.com/iroc/...bum03/07_G_001 it's one of the thirdgen members pic gallery.
----------
actually there's a good chance that that is a v8 and i mistaked it for a v6 for a minute but it don't look the same it looks kinda smaller than the v8.

No, I don't have 56k! But the link worked. You can also copy/paste, but like I said the pic has to be under 1meg. It sure does look like a 6er, though!

If you read daves12secv6 "engine build pics" thread, you'll see that lots of people make their own, I have no idea if that's something you can buy?!
If you find one, find me and let me know!
Also in his "intake ideas" thread

its a V8 look real close at the dist cap. 4 wires going to the one side of the engine. plus its a V8 radiator. Does seem real small tho.
Edit: that and its a pic from an IROC gallery.
Edit: 5 wires 1 to the coil and 4 sparks

If you look at the next pic of the same car, it's an RS, so it could've been a 6er. My thought was the same at fist glance of the site.
It just seems that there is a lot of room between the radiator and pulleys?!
This could be if it's an autocross car and the engine/tranny were moved back and down to lower the center of gravity.
.
Good eye though.

alt and AC stuff is on the wrong side to be a V6.
----------
Come to think of it unless GM changed things All GM cars have the Alt on the left looking at it. Though 86 is the newest I have owned. Every GM car I have owned V8 or what not, Alt was on the left looking at the engine.

And yep it looks small, could be a ford in there.

You guys are scaring me.

Nothing about that says V6, except maybe the plastic distributor cover missing from the rear of the intake making it appear shorter.

The only thing that had me confused is the distance from the firewall to the pulley system seemed wide, similar to my car.

You guys are kidding me right?
I'm seeing a 305 TBI car that had a TPI conversion with black accel runners, those weird blue hoses and no intake duct installed.

And how do you know it's a 305?! You can tell the difference between the GM smallblocks even though they are the same size externally?!

I hope you guys that think it's a V6 are joking, that's V8, GM, V8, TPI, either conversion, or factory, but with some aftermarket runners.

Not saying it's a V6, but does the pulleys seem far from the radiator to you?
I looks to me the motor may have been moved back a couple of inches, it's an autocross car. But then again I don't look under the hoods of the V8's too much.

Car: 1988 Formula 350
Engine: L98 350 TPI
Transmission: 700-R4
I'm agreeing with the other guys that say it's a V8 with the TPI intake just different intake runners. It's just missing the distributor cover. As for the spacing it is in the stock location from what I can tell. The angle is misleading in my opinion, I think that is why it looks moved back. Concerning the alternator and AC Compressor location, they are in the correct location because they are in the same spots on my '88 350 TPI motor which is all original. Hope this helps settle some confusion.

I'm guessing, but I didn't guess that it was a V6 though.

that would be a tuned port v8 painted black with slp runners
that is a 90* serpentine setup and not a 60* setup

the stock v6 intakes are tuned port for the v6 there just not as nice looking

Car: 07 Honda CR-V
Engine: Yes, there's one in there...
Transmission: One that shifts itself
I think what is throwing everyone off is that all of the black plastic from the air intake is missing.

Putting on the aftermarket air cleaner certainly opens up the front of the engine - I just don't want to suck in all that hot air under the hood.....

(It's absolutely a V8 - everything else is up for grabs.....)

having done a v8 swap in my car, I cain assure you that unless the firewall was moved back, the engine is in stock location. The tranny sits in the same spot, and has just as little room between the block & firewall as the 2.8/3.4/3800.

3.1 got skipped

edit: and goodyear makes teh blue hoses iirc, don't have teh jegs catalog handy to verify.

That intake might look great but in the end it doesnt do its job. It picks up the heat kicked off the fan and the hot air from the motor if this was placed to the side you would get a better cool air flow from the side that comes up near the fenders.
