Engine rebuild

Hi All

Just bought my dad's 1992 camaro RS with a 3.1 V6 5 Speed with 177k miles on it (mostly highway) always garage kept and never driven hard its whole life, (still on original clutch!!!) but besides all that I couldnt pass it up for the condition it was in. So my goal for this engine is to rebuild it with forged pistons and crank and replace most everything to support a turbo build my friend and I are going to tackle. I figure after all is said and done i will have paid 7k for parts, i am going to do install myself with the help of this forum and friends. I didnt want a v8 because of the gas and its more fun to beat them with a 6 ! I need help finding the forged pistons and cylinder heads, should i port and polish my current one or buy an aftermarket one? My HP goal is 400 rwhp. I will post pics of this journey of transformation and hopefully inspire others to try it as well.....
Thanks for everyones help!!!

Re: Engine rebuild

Forged pistons are at the fiero store.
Aftermarket heads don't exist.
FWD heads flow better, but are a pain in the *** to get working.

Lety us know whast cam you go with.
