Cannot figure out why '89 RS idles rough and stalls when warm

I am having a issue with it stalling at 500rpms. No matter how i adjust the newly bought TPS to the required .55 voltage it still idles really rough and after approx 30 seconds will stall out when placed in drive. I have replaced the MAF sensor with my other camaro's. i have cleaned the IAC, Checked all vac lines and replaced many that were in question. Tightened the vacuum "T" that comes out of the back of the injector body. Replaced Cap, rotor wires and plugs. Bought new temp sensor, oxygen sensor, coolant sensor. The car tries to bring the rpms down to 500 but then sharply raises the rpms to avoid stalling out. after like 30 seconds of doing this desprite attempt to keep the engine going it will stall out. I did not have this issue until i blew a radiator hose. That has since been replaced. The only code i have to go by is a code 34.(Vacuum circuit error) Somebody please help me fix this as i live in new york and having to work on this thing at 11pm after work in freezing weather is taking a toll on me. Is ECM Bad? Where are connections 20,21 and 22 of the ECM? Is an injector bad? Is a V6 a good winter car (JK). Any advice is Very much appreciated.

Will the car ever go above 500 rpm? Such as, if you step on the gas, can you get it to rev up OK to 1000 rpm, but as soon as you take your foot off the gas, it drops to 500 and stalls out?

Or do you mean that it won't even go more than 500 rpm?

Re: Cannot figure out why '89 RS idles rough and stalls when warm

It will rev like a champ and has lots of power but simply will not idle when warm and foot is off the gas. Everyone says the maf and the iac will cause this but both are good and clean. Vac issue is all i am chasing right now but nothing is coming up. Really trying to avoid throwing in the towel and forking over 2 bills at a shop to have it fixed. The fact that it happened after blowing the upper rad hose makes me wonder what else i may have damaged? or if its even related to my stalling at a stop issue.

Re: Cannot figure out why '89 RS idles rough and stalls when warm

The solution to this type of issue is to install a new ECM. Finally after having the TPS and Idle speed set to the perfect specs and checking for vacuum leaks EVERYWHERES, the only thing that completely fixed my poor idling, stalling car was to change the ECM. Located under the passenger side dash and requires one screw to be removed and two connectors. Takes 3 mins MAX(wiggle connectors back and fourth out.) $100 part and about 12 hours ill never get back.

Wow that's wild, thanks for the update on what fixed it! Did you get the ECM from a salvage yard or from a store?
