Would this work?
I've had another one of my thoughts lately. I don't know if this should be on this board or not, but here goes. I was looking through my Jegs and saw sidepipes. Would this be possible? What are your opinions on a thirgen with sidepipes? Just a thought.

Well before this becomes a flamer topic my opinion.
Done correctly they could look awesome. Remember that you have a **** load of room under the side moulding. You can easily fit a 2-3 inch pipe under there. If you go to www.spintechmuffler.com they have low clearance pipes(oval) that can be used to run under the subframe. They also have conversion pipes (oval-round and vise versa) If you can find someone to make good fiberglass covers for them leaving only the tip and little more exposed it could look very good.

My friend said he saw one with sidepipes and it lookes awesome. We do have quite a bit of room under there. Who know about photoshop that I could talk to about this? Thanks.

Before I put my GFX on I messsed with the idea of putting sidepipes on my Camaro that my Dad took off his Corvette I mocked mounted them so my friend that worked at Midas could see it. He said that he could make the exhaust pipes to them with no problem but I was worried about emmissions so I didn't do it....but I have a set that is going on my '71.

True, but that still voids emissions. Stupid, eh? For instance, if we wanted to put the dual-cat-convertor setup (that GM put on later model V8 f-bodies) onto our cars, it would void emissions. Even though that system is unrestrictive, and it's got TWO cats, it's still illegal, even though it'd probably run cleaner than our one-cat system. If I became an obsessive tree-hugger, and wanted to put another cat convertor after my existing one, it'd be illegal- IT MAKES NO SENSE!
Damn, I hate emissions laws.

I didn't want a GM-Dual-cat setup anyway You would think that they see that 2 cats are better than one, but they're a little messed up. I don't have emissions checking in my county and I don't see getting one in the near future. From what I hear, people are trying to get rid of E-check in Ohio The county next to mine (where kernel lives) has E-check. How's them emissions kernel?? Anyway, so, putting a cat for each pipe wouldn't help. Oh well. Thanks Tom.
