My 86 camaro 2.8l won’t start
My v6 won’t start I just replaced the starter and the battery is only a year old, I did everything for the tune up I actually just replaced the distributor and a couple months ago replaced the plugs and wires, engine is cranking but won’t start I’ve been having problems with the cooling system I’ve replaced everything but the water pump. I’m trying to finish it by flushing all of the old coolant but car. Won’t start to do so

An engine needs three things to run , compression , fuel , and spark .
Have you checked for a proper spark ? Have you checked the fuel pressure ? If the cranking sounds normal you can figure the compression is OK so diagnosing it down to fuel or spark would be your best next move .

Re: My 86 camaro 2.8l won’t start
Does the starter rotate the engine ("Crank") when you turn the ignition key, all the way forward, to start? If not, you have a "No crank" Problem. IF it does not crank, do you hear the starter "click" . the fuel pump, at the tank, run for approx. 5 seconds?
If the starter rotates the engine at the proper cranking speed, you have a "no start". Let's start by clarifying what is occurring.

Let's see what he says about his spark and fuel tests when he returns ...

I have the same problem. Same tune up minus wires, I'm getting good spark. Crank no start though. It tries to crank when I first bump the key then it either acts flooded or like it has no gas. I was told fuel injectors or fuel pressure regulator.
