Brake lines / bolt size.
Hopefully I will be doing my brake lines and wheel cyliander this weekend. What I need to know is what size flare nut wrenches do I need to change the brake lines?
I don't have much money right now and don't want to spend a crap load of money by buying an entire set of flare nut wrneches.

Well if you don't want to spend any money on flare nut wrenches. Go to a local Garage, and borrow one. It will be cheaper. They might ask for a deposit that you will get back when done with it. But atleast you will save yourself some money.

Thanks for the replys.
My brother has some flare nut wrenches, but I'm not sure if he has the right size. That's how I was planing on saving money. May just have to brake down and buy a set.

I posted a reply on the chassis/suspension board, but I'm pretty sure the lines are 11mm. We have an 11mm/12mm combo flare nut wrench from Home Depot, and one of those definately fits the lines. See my tip over at the chassis/suspension board about how I freed lines that wouldn't move. Oh hell, I'll quote it here:

I believe they are 11mm.
If you've got a stubborn one, try what I did. My flare nut wrench was actually rounding out one of the line nuts, the nut was on so tight. So I broke out the huge SOB adjustable wrench... the 12 incher. I tightened it down on the line nut, and gave the wrench some quick & hard "pushes"- and the nut broke free. Just something to try!

Thanks Tom. I did a post on the brake board and hear, becuase I some times don't get a respones from the other board. But this was exactly what I was looking for. The nice thing is that my brother has the right size wrenches so I don't have to go out and buy any. Unfortunetly I may not be able to go with the steal braided lines like I wanted to due to money constraints, but at least I will be able to fix the problem and get my braking ablity back!!!
