Last year Skulte shut down his business. There is another thread about where to buy spacers and adaptors. I think for those of us looking to get 4th gen wheels wheels on our cars need maybe some help with the some other companies who sold something similar. I want something exactly that they sold that was hub centric. Good recomendations are hard to come by these days as everyone is screaming there product is the best. We need some real world testing in finding the best one that isnt gonna break, or wobble.

Most people running 4th gen wheels are using adapters that they got from ebay. I personally have used Skulte adapters and eBay adapters and didn't have problems with either. I don't think I've ever seen a single thread on this site where someone has had their wheel adapters break.

Actually, I've seen some really cheap adapters from Ebay. Un finished color aluminum and they didn't fit. You can't tell the strength by appearance anyways but not taking the time to make sure the product looks good can lead one to believe corners were cut in other places as well. For me, assurance of the metal is critical.

This place has been mentioned before but the only thing I've heard so far is the the shipping was delayed.

basicly, you want billet adapters, not cast ones. You havce to torque the lugs often for a while unitll they seat. then they wont ever break.

they fail when the lugs get loose and are never re torqued.

Yeah I seen a bunch of them advertised when I came in the wheel forum. It is hard to believe sometimes some of the claims they make, that is alot riding on something like that. Better to ask on here what other's have run. I wish I would have gotten them last year when I could have from Skulte, but I wasn't thinking I was going to be doing the 4th to third gen swap of parts I am in the process of doing now.

Try this guy. I've use him before & the quality is outstanding. He will make to your dimensions, including hub centric, bolt-on etc.

I've gotten 2 sets of adapters from these people, Not had a problem yet. Still have one set on my 51 truck, 5.5 pattern on rotor and 4.5 on wheel. American torque thrust D series. Mine are 1" thick with 8 inch wheel. Had to trim studs down to surface of adapter for wheel to fit flush. But still about 1/16 inch above lug at full torque. 22K since install. Just my 2 cents. They are 1" thick for base configuration, and go up to I think its 2.5" All info is on their site.
