What plug to use in firewall when passing gauge wires through it???

What kind of plug, seal or gromet is used to plug a hole needed to pass new gauge wires through the firewall?

I would like the best suggestions here. Not worried about saving money, but having a wet floor.

Damn I hate interior leaks.

Thanks.

Don't drill new holes. On the driver side there should be a firewall wire block and it should have a few unused holes in it. Just run a pick or scribe through the empty holes you want to use and then feed your wires through there. It makes for a professional looking install and doesn't add any holes in the firewall.

Great idea. Thanks.

I am also going to run a boost gauge which is mechanical. So it will probably have a vacuum line running into the inside of the car. Will probably have to drill for this one, eh???

when i did my mechanical water temp guage you have to run about a 3/8" nut through the firewall and i just used a circle drillin gbit to go through the metal, painted the bare metal that was exposed and inserted a rubber grommet i bought at the local auto parts store...

Nope, that nylon vacuum line is very small (like 1/8") and should fit through the wire holes in the bulkhead connector too.
