It's stamped at the back of the block right in front of the driver's side firewall.

Their is also a stamping that has the engine info and VIN stamped on the front of the Cylinder deck, in front of the passenger side head. This is the usual place for the stamping on all chevy small blocks. It can be a b!tch to see though with the accesories in the way.

excuse my stupidity, but where is the cylinder deck? Oh, just to tell you guys, i took my car to an engine shop, and they found the engine block number somewhere and said it was a 350, I also have a sticker on the underside of my hood stating i have a 5.7 liter engine. Good thing i knew the mechanic or i woulda had to pay a beast load to get my engine size checked
