Which intake?

I have heard from many posts that the Weiland stealth is the thing to get. But will it be good for my application. Take a look at the sig and assume I put in all the parts in my trunk.

THANKS!!!

I have it. I don't see why it's not a good choice for you.

It's a good choice for almost any street/strip type of car.

Idle-6800 rpm powerband or so.

THANKS!!

I talked yo you about this lready...kinda. Because of you i am getting Dart Iron Eagle heads with guideplates set for .600 lift (1.43 springs). I am gonna get a set of Pro Mag Roller Rockers, a Comp XE cam (284) and lifter kit and crane cams heat treated chromoly pushrods.

All of this timed by my PJ gear drive and Fed by the stealth. I just hope I win the heads off ebay.

Thanks for your help!

You might be able to get away without using a vacuum reservoir. I'm at 6300 (7" at idle) feet with a XE284/Victor Jr., and only get a hard pedal when at idle. So backing up is a little ruff.

Starting & idle is acualy good, if you have your carb tuned.
XE284 for the street ??? You might have more fun with a 222 duration than a 240/246 zooming around town.

86iroc350ny: you and my cousin have almost the exact same set up. he added the RPM intake and is very happy with it.

can you give me some tips on tuning that SA 670 carb-----we cant quite get it just right.

That cam is a mighty mihgty cam. it will pull like a hooker from like 2500 on. the XE274 might be just a bit better for the street. but hey, its your car.

I hope you have gears and a stall to back that cam up.

I got gears

My gears are really short in my T-5, and the rear is 3.73.

Don't need a stall converter in a manual

What's wrong? I am also getting 4.10s for the rear that will be put in before the cam goes in.

Nothing is wrong, I was just putting because you have a stick and I asked about a TC.

I hope you have at least 10.00 to 1 compression. That cam thumps hard and you will have to get used to the valve train noise that comes with that cam. Just about everyone that runs that XE 284 or bigger XE has lots of lifter noise.
