Not much.

Vader once told me that a clutch fan is the way to go.

An E fan will just put more strain on the electrical system.

Pullies, well that may cause charging problems. I would go with other mods first.

Get the power and amp series from March. They should keep the charging about the same while still underdriving the components.

I think Electric Fans and Underdrive Pulleys will help more on higher-revving engines equipped with manual trans more than a 305 driving an auto trans.

Your 4.6 litre Ford is a higher-revving engine by design compared to the 305 so I don't think you could expect to see the same results doing the same mods to the 305.

Auto trans tend to keep the revs down so the fan wouldn't rob as much torque off the crank as compared to a 5-speed.

Very true Mark, also many people get them and do a poor job wiring them up causing electrical problems/dead batteries. I think the only reason to switch to an electric/flex fan from a clutch fan is if you are taking your motor upwards of 4000/5000 rpm. I dunno it just makes me nervous, i could watch my clutch fan sort of woble when my motor was running, just slightly but enough to bother me.

also, electric fans are a fun toy to have in the pits at the drags to cool your motor off between passes

Not true at all......... Electric fans from the factory are efficent and reasonably quiet. The fan only comes on at a preset temp. so the only time there is a "drag" on the electrical system is when it comes on. I've never had a problem with mine. All Camaros LG4/LO3's (I think) came with the single fan set up after 1986.

As for underdrive pulleys, that debate is more of a choice, some say they work others say it doesn't.

I stay away from underdrive pulleys honestly. i considered them, but underdriving your charging or cooling system usually isnt the best idea in the world.

i would stay away from the underdrive pulleys, they're not really worth that much power, and the really screw up your charging system. camaros are notorious for having small amps, you dont need to compound the problem. the power can be found elsewhere. timing...headers...etc
