Porting the Plenum

If you have a dremel, why not just port it yourself ?
I did the same to mine, worked out very well, you wont get a huge amount of HP from it but it definitly helps, especially since I was free and about 3 hours work.

SLP RUNNERS
I have slp runners do i take those off to get to some of the points to port? also do i polish it the same way i do the plenum

Polishing question
Once ive sanded all the grainess off do i start with the emery compount or tripoli. Also where can you get these compounds home depot or something. someone let me know thanks for the help again

Yeah it would be easyier if the runner were off to get to the side ports. as for polishing and what not i dont know much about that I just do performance stuff but heres a link for polishing info.

plenum porting
it is easy to do yourself, u can just remove the throttle body or to be safer, take off the plenum to makes sure the injectors don't such in metal shavings. It gives about 5-15 hp base on stock motor-to 500hp motor. It most improves the throttle response which is nice. you can just remove the air restrictions in the front of the plenum, or smooth out the whole thing. If you wnat to smooth out the whole thing, it takes forever and you have to be sure u don't get into the housings for the alan bolts. you can guy a completely ported plenum brand new from TPIS for about 100 bucks. Which ever way workd for you!

I ported the whole thing myself, front to back, took about ummm i dunno guessing around 5 hours total, non stop though, still gotta put it back in, after i get a new egr valve, and new fuel pump.... THEN i'll be able to enjoy it, lol
