Anyone try Powermaster 140amp alternators?
Time for a new one after my Trak Auto rebuild died and they went out of business, so no more free replacements.
I found the Powermaster 140amp from Summit. Since I have a high power stereo that eats quite a few amps, I decided the 140 will drain less than the stock 105amp. I figure I can use the 140amp with no modifications to the electrical system.
Anybody use these alternators and are they any good?
Thanks!

I have had several and I think they are ****ty. I keep frying them with my stereo and then went back to a stock one and don't have any problem's anymore.
