Engine Stand ?

Hi guys, kinda new to the board. I'm going to be starting my rebuild on my 86 Iroc fairly soon. I'm ditching the 305 for a new 350. My question is what kind of engine stands do you guys use to build on? I've seen one in Summit racing that is pretty nice, $63, and you can rotate the motor while its on there. Is that worth it? I should probably get something to put the engine on before getting it. Any suggestions? Thanks

I got one from Autozone for $40, it has 4 3" casters and rotates. My mechanic friend uses this kind. He said he even hung a big block on his.

if it holds an engine and rotates it dont matter. i got mine from harbor freight for 40 bucks. this isnt one of those things to spend money on. put the money in what the engine stand holds.

Thanks guys, I'm going to try the local autozone and I believe there is a Farm and Fleet around here also. I really don't want anything fancy, don't need no $150 stand, but I got to have something to build on. I started off by looking in Summit, but they want $62. On a side note. I'm think about a set of fast burn heads and Summit wants like $80 more than scoggin-dickey. Is that because Scoggin-dickey is Gm dealer or whatever, or does summit marks stuff up? Anybody find similar price differences?

SD buys from GMPP, so they get a better price. this in turn gives you a better price.
