You would be better off buying the Hedman or Hooker version. I have the Hedmans and they work good. I did have to clearance the LCA on the drivers side, but that is normal.

Oh yeah, the Hedman are 1 5/8's primary. I think flowtech is 1 1/2.

Both the hedman and hooker LT's will fit. Like I said you might have to grind for clearance, but that is typical.

If you car is lowered, you might not need to go the LT headers. They will be close to the ground.

Hedman it will probably be then. I head the hooker's collector is REALLY low.

Did you have to replace your starter with a mini starter with the Hedmans?

Why do you think that? Short tube headers are proven to provide more of a top end boost compared to long tubes.

Look at some of the recent articles in Popular Hot Rodding, I think. They are interviewing a guy that does a lot of custom header / exhaust work.

Results on tube length, collector length, tri y 's etc... are pretty interesting.

I'd really, REALLY have to be there first hand for those tests. Long tubes provide a greater distance for the gases to fill before being pushed into the "Collector air wall." Greater distance = greater space = greater potential for total airflow.

Everything I've read, seen, and experienced is that short tube headers are only good at the top end,and provide minimal benefits at lower RPM's, where Long tubes provide benefits across the board. Maybe you misread that article? Maybe they said short tubes were only beneficial at higher RPM's, not that they were MORE beneficial than long tubes at higher RPM's?
