Checkout last months Super Chevy magazine (the one with Airride Technologies' black 2nd gen on the cover). They put that kit on an '88 IROC. I am getting it for sure!

The set up wprks great. After I put subframe connectors and stiffened the hell out of the suspension, it was a rough ride. The air ride helped put it back to a more reasonable

Re: new airride cool ride setup
I went a 3 gallon tank and a 450 viair compressor...although...I wish it would build more than 150 PSI. The rear raises fine...but the front struggles a little....I wish a 200 PSI pressure switch was available for the digital kit...

Re: new airride cool ride setup
digging up old threads are we..
the 450 was good when it was new, as a whole it's a lacking pump though. very reasonable on cost however. there are many new pumps out that are the same price and more efficient. just depends on your budget. as a whole though i would not go less then a 450 viair. as far as your psi switch you can get that switch you seek through other air supply vendors. the front cool ride kit raises extremly slow compared to their rear and i'm running big red valves on it. not to sure what you said you were running, standard ride pro? either way check your lines for kinks and upgrade your switch just make sure you wire it good.
what size lines were you running, 1/4" or 1/2". could always change your lines also, pain but a solution.
are you running the ridepro1 or new ridepro2 as a controller or something different all together? the ridepro 2 is a much nicer unit overall however the ride pro 1 remote is nicer then the new remote option and they aren't interchangable which is a major disappointment.
i've complained many times about the way the front takes so much effort to raise with the standard cool ride kit. there has to be a better option without redoing everything. however for what i use the car for it's nice to easily control them with the slow movement. with the airstruts the car almost lept off the ground it raised so quickly in the front which is no fun.
anyone looking i have a ART 3 gallon tank, ride pro e version 1 with the remote option all for sale for $750. all you need then is the coolride kit front and rear with your choice valves and your good to go. I also have a AJE brand new tubular front end kit with lsx mounts with factory a arms that have been modified by AJE to work with air rides front cool ride kit. $650 for the whole setup or if you plan to leave the gen 1 sbc motor i'll sell you just the a arms and perches for $300 and u can buy your own kit. that's $200 less then what i paid and they are brand new.
good luck.
