SLP cold air kit
Does anyone have the SLP cold air setup? If so is it worth the 200 something dollars? Any pics? And will the one filter work on a 3.1L Camaro?

Yes i have one, and no it's not worth the cost. I bought one because i put a supercharger in my Iroc and wanted to put the air cleaner on the passenger side, and the battery on the driver side. If youre a little creative you can adapt a firebird system from a junker for a whole lot less. Get a k&n filter though.

I agree with odin65. I have one also and the rubber ducting is basically off a later TPI Firebird with an aluminum plate riveted in the middle(to direct airflow I assume). Not worth the 200 IMO. For a cleaner install, you can just get the cold air box separately from SLP and then go to a junkyard for the ducting. You'll save way more money.

I bought a used cold air kit for the chicken awhile back. The kit came without instructions and the harness for moving the charcoal canister over to the driver's side. I got a copy of instructions from SLP but I never mounted the box (which pulls in air from the passenger fender in front of the wheel). I ended up using the ducting just because and then removing the '89 air can, plopping the K&N on top of the base, and installed a '90 air can lid and long bolt to hold it down.
I always thought the camaro system was superior but I don't have the numbers to back it up. There are a few examples of homemade ram-air camaro systems out there.
Another option which I don't have the parts for yet is to get an 85-86 vette air intake, lean the radiator/ac condensor way back and mount that up in there with some fabrication.
Is the system better??? Beats me but it looks a lot better than the hacked up dryer hose system I got the car with. I think my '90-'92 lid deal is better than an older can with holes cut into it.
If you want the air box, and stock firebird air ducting let me know - something could be arranged. For your 6 cyl camaro system the MAF would have to be relocated.

I bought just the box and lid for about $70. It hooked up nicely to the stock duct.
