Thread Sealant ???
O.K. i'm re-building an engine on a stand . i'm also trying teach a young 17 yr. old man some of the tricks i have picked up over the years . ( not my first rodeo ) anyway i stressed the importance of thread sealant on bolt's that go into water jackets . anyway i have lost my favorite can of thread sealer due to many moves ( thank you ex-wives ) . what now is the preferred sealant to use ? it's just a warmed up 350 that i may put in my ride wich is a daily driver . not subject to much hard use . thanks in advance .

I like the Permatex Form-A-Gasket No. 2 Sealant in the tube, the gooey black stuff, it's not made for threads but I have used it many times and it works great.

Re: Thread Sealant ???
I've used ARP thread sealer with great success. #2 Permatex non hardening works well too but makes more of a mess.
