Racetronix

FYI - Purchased from Racetronix the FL98 / F7 Bulkhead Connector Assembly & FL98 Fuel Pump Kit. The walbro fuel pump looks significantly better then the Chinese fuel pumps that failed on me. Overall it is a great kit, I just did not realize that I had to double check the pump connector(s) with the pump wiring. Both the cable that came with the pump and the new bulkhead connector assembly were wired backwards. See pictures.

Re: Racetronix

They make really nice stuff. Unfortunately I had the same issue with the pump plugs being the wrong polarity.

I purchase everything through Hawks Third Gen for $217 delivered. The before and after, it is worth it.

Re: Racetronix

My Racetronix kit had the wrong plug on it too, I let them know, they sent me the tool to remove the pins from the plug and the correct plug. Easy fix.

Cool. I have been fiddling with this thing trying to figure out how the release mechanism works for the pins. Since you have done this, can you provide a picture of the tool or explain how the pins release? Normally you can look inside the connector but this one is a bit more hidden.

Re: Racetronix

The tool was like a very small screwdriver with a small diameter hollow shaft that basically went around the pin and contracted the tab that locked it in the plug. I'll try to send the photo tonight, but you'll be supprized how simple it is.

I know this thread is ancient, but how did you get the pumps into the tank as you have it assembled there? The tank opening is smaller than the size of the pumps.
