hydraulic car ramps
I found these hydraulic car ramps online but the company that sells them is in the UK and I do not believe they ship to the united states. Does anyone know of anywhere in the states that makes or sells these type of lift ramps. They would be pretty awesome for working under the car. Here are a couple pictures

Re: hydraulic car ramps
Id use it if I had a really "tall" set of jack stands.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
Yeah Ide want to see some sort of lock or something. They almost look like the only thing keeping them from collapsing is the hydralic cylinder. No way would I lay under that without some jack stands or some type of lock out.
But they're cool! Be cool if you could sneak a pair under the rear wheels too.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
I spent a couple of hours looking for something like the OPs photos earlier this week. Nothing in the US came up with my searches. I tried several word combinations. They do look useful. As stated I would only use them for the lift, and then place jack stands under the car after the lift.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
These look cool. I could use them for my 70 Camaro since it sits low side. Would be interested in getting these.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
I think they would be nice to have, but I would have the same concerns about no locking system. They may not be able to sell them in the states for that reason?

Re: hydraulic car ramps
They do have a safety locking mechanism ... see this page for much more details:
http://www.cjautosheywood.co.uk/hyramp.shtml
I'm very tempted to get these for my 89 TTA if I can find them cheaper this company sells them for.

I didn't look at the link before. Yikes! 478GBP converts to $750 roughly. That's before you pay international shipping for 20# or so of oversized package. Cool, but not nearly $1000 cool.

3rd Gen Camaro Lift
for example these are the perfect jack for doing sub frame connectors on a 3rd gen camaro for those that do not have room for a drive on lift or can not afford one.

Re: 3rd Gen Camaro Lift
As this is the only thread I found mentioning these; I'm plugging for these non-Hydraulic lift stands, I bought 2 pair of these from Bill & they are 100% as advertised maybe even better than advertised. 4 stands are less than 1/2 the price of the jinky quick jacks and simular items.

Re: 3rd Gen Camaro Lift
I saw some posts on other forums from a couple years back (2017) and they were saying about $600 for a set of 4 plus shipping (probably another $150). I like the design, but for that kind of money I'll just build my own.

Re: 3rd Gen Camaro Lift
[QUOTE=blacksunshine'91;6291755]How much did they cost? There is no price on the website.[/QUOTE
in august 2018 it was $285 a pair plus shipping 4 stands delivered to my door in Las Vegas, Nevada cost me $763.98 total. compared to the alternative imho I find that was a bargain. they're well engineered, welded and powder coated and solid
price may be more or less now, bill's contact info is on his site and he responds quickly
there's video on his site and youtube of how to use them.
I trust them more than the more than double the price quick jacks and simular products that dont work well on 3rd gens anyway due to unibody design.
even regular jack stands are sketchy on a 3rd gen and you need to have suspension loaded to do sub frame connectors anyway.
I expect bills 100% made in usa lift stands to out live me which is more than i can say for the made in china crapola out there.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
Those are not hydraulic ramps as the OP posted, but do look quite usable. It appears that Jegs sells a model hydraulic ramp similar to the OP:
Jegs ramp
They're not cheap, though, at $1300! I did find this, which is cheaper at $366, but unfortunately, are out of stock:

Re: hydraulic car ramps
Jegs sells these and they do have safety rods that lock it at whatever height you choose. The only complaint was they broke the foot pump. My guess is they were jumping on it. I have them. They're great.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
Been looking at the unijacks or jackstand/bottle jack combo. Just wish they had a wider base on them.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
I made these out of 2x10.
They are extremely stable, and raise the car 12".
I can get them under the tires using my trolley jack on the K member and diff. This leaves me enough room to work under the car and enough clearance to pull the T5 using the same jack.
in the past I've used them with additional 2x10's to get the car high enough off the ground to remove the entire K member / engine / trans.
Total cost was $125 Canadian.

Re: hydraulic car ramps
The ones from MyLiftStand are not super difficult to make, if you have a welding machine
