If you're running the stock manifold base, then yes it will work. If you have the Edelbrock base, you will have interference due to the 8366 being about a 1/4 inch shorter than oem distributor (Measured from dist/gasket seal surface to the bottom of the plate that the cap screws to. This is also caused by the Edlebrock manifold has a higher #7 runner (which is the rear-most runner port on the driver's rear of the manifold) port.

The interference doesn't allow the distributor to seat on the gasket, which if you clamp down on the tie down bolt, you'll damage distributor gear/oil pump. You could try grinding some material of the top of the runner port, but this will have to be carefully watched. I was leary of doing this when I originally did my engine install.

The 8366 distributor should work fine on your TPI engine. I had one previously on my LO3 Formula and it worked great. It had to be removed when the ignition module burned out and took the wiring in the distributor with it. After trying to fix it with replacement parts from MSD it never worked right again.

I've got one in mine and it works great. I have an L98 5.7 TPI. Just be careful about the orings on the shaft. Don't know how, but I ended up tearing one last time I put it in.
