ANCHOR 2292 MOTOR MOUNTS ......
well I recently swapped my 305 for a new GM crate 350 . O.K. , I wanted all new hard to change parts . these included new motor mounts , I bought new anchor 2292 mounts . well in my opinion they seem to be very sorry replacements . the rubber core is sorry , it has squashed/settled down an unacceptable amount . how much you ask , enough that I can not remove my headers to replace to replace gaskets . I installed eng. with headers installed , did not have the copper gaskets on hand I wanted . well after a few miles I got the gaskets I wanted and swapped them out . now after about 1,500 total miles the eng. has compressed the rubber on the mounts (both) , enough so that I would NOT have room enough to change gaskets . a word of advice to others , get the "poly" mounts . ANCHOR mounts are made in CHINA and are GARBAGE . I WILL be installing POLY mounts this next week . just my experience . O.K. I vented , hope my mistakes help others .

A VERY good warning.
What procedure are you going to use with the replacement.
I replaced mine years ago but remember vividly = nightmare.
It was my first time and did it without removing anything.
A mod well worth it. Not only can I feel the thump of the engine better (I like ) but should not have to do that again for a very long time.

Re: ANCHOR 2292 MOTOR MOUNTS ......
The Energy Suspension Motor Mounts and Transmission Mount I installed 6 years ago look fine and have helped me tremendously.
Previously I was tearing rubber trans. mounts on average once a year.
Besides what do you suggest we use ? Other than rubber.
Side note = The problem with the transmission mount has always been where the rubber is ,what looks like glued to the steel. It just tears away. Charge more but make a better rubber mount. Its not rocket science.
