Security Please!!!

I was wondering if anybody knew of a really good security system. I wanted the one where it has a pager so if your alarm goes off it will page you. My car also has t-tops and it kind of stinks in the summer if i go somewhere and my t-tops are off knowing somebody can just get right in, so is there a alarm that has something where if you stick your hand in the car it will go off? thanks, Todd

Viper Alarm System would be a good choice.

Forget viper, they suck. I put a Clifford Matrix RX2 in mine. The thing comes stock with all the guts, a impact sensor a valet switch (so when you go out to eat, the valet cant take your car above 2,000 rpm) and a remote start. The thing works on 900mhz and has a TX range of about 50 meters (or at least that what I got). You can also program it w/ your laptop. I also put a motion sensor on it along with hooking up my shaved door soleniod to it. Good buy, check out "Best Buy". when it come to alarms go big or go home. :hail:

A buddy of mine just got a new viper alarm system that has a pretty neat paging system with an lcd display on it that tells you where your car is getting tampered with if the door is open shock sensor trips etc..

I can't vouch for its quality or sensitivity but he likes it, for 500 bucks installed he better.

I just had a Crimestopper CS 2015FM pager alarm installed in my car, and it's schweet. It has an LCD active matrix display on the transmitter, which means that it shows moving graphics and stuff (when I remote start my car with it, the transmitter beeps, and once my car is started, it shows a little car moving across the screen ) It does everything, remote start, starter kill, shock sensor, keyless entry, and it pages me if my car is messed with. The transmitter beeps and vibrates. You can get it at www.autotoys.com for $215 or so with 2 LCD screen transmitters, last I checked - or about $180 with 1 pager and one regular transmitter (no screen). The only thing it doesn't have is the microwave sensor, but you could probably add it.

I have the matrix 3 alarm on my Z. I like my alarm. My car still got broke into but it was my fault I left the face plate on my cd player. Can you put a remote start on a 1984 Z-28? It has a carborator. So can you put a remote starter on there. I don't think you can but what do you all think?

Avital makes some good stuff. 4 button remote is excelent with their Avistart 6500 or 6501 series remote starter system. Has everything and is easy to install yourself. Includes extra in/outs. I use one out for my pager, an aux out for my headlights to see where I'm walking or to find my car at nite in a busy parking lot/garage. Look on ebay, they're cheap now but definatly a top of the line product bar none. Avital was a sub of Cliffard just like Chevy is to GM.
