They say on the front of the catolog "World's Best Resource for Restoring & Upgrading Your 1967-02 Camaro." Yet when you open the catolog and read it cover to cover you notice that 99.9% of it is for 1st and 2nd gen. camaros. The other 0.1% is brake caliper covers for 93-02 Camaros and there are a few things for 81-83 Camaros. Ummm... that's clearly leaving out a massive chunk. Wtf? Is there another catalog that has more 3rd gen. stuff? The biggest image on the front cover is a 3rd Gen. Very dissappointed with the CATALOG as I have yet to deal with them as a business.

 

The Yearone catalog is pretty good to look up parts but theyre expensive.

 

I think Ecklers have a lot of stuff. In the upper left corner of their site, select the year of your car. Then go below that and pick your category.

 

I have the YearOne catalog already and I have been to Ecklers website. I requested the catalog thinking that the parts descriptions would be more detailed as the descriptions I have looked at online are lacking.

 

When Ecklers corvette used to be based strictly out of titusville, FL, They used to deal with vettes, camaro, and more. Then for a short stint, they went to the vettes only. I recently talked to a rep from Ecklers that said they are expanding there market more and more. Personally, I have found that Yearone has a larger selection and the tech reps were very helpful

 

I wish these places would list the GM part number for NOS stuff. It would make life a lot easier. I could go to a site and search by that number.

 

Yeah, YearOne is great, except they don't have brake boosters which is what I'm looking for.

 

They have a section for 82-92 i do belive.

I dont think they have another catalog.

I would just go with classic industries catalog for camaro's...tons of stuff for every gen camaro.

 

yea i was disappointed too and some of the stuff on thier i think in my opinion is over priced

 

http://www.classicindustries.com has a pretty good selection of 1-4th gen stuff. Nice thing about their catalog is that they offer parts for both Camaro's and Firebirds / Am's. This catalog is huge, I suggest you pay the freight and purchase a printed copy. It's very handy. One word of caution if you do order it, all parts starting with the letter G are original GM parts. Which may be good or bad but, you'll have to call to check their inventory. Second caution, OER stuff may or may not fit!!

Use both catalogs, Ecklers & Classic Industries to ref. parts. There are other (cheaper) sources for our parts. Year One and RK Sport have nice catalogs but, they're too proud $$$.

 

I've always just downloaded Classic Industries' catalog in the PDF format when i wanted to look at something. Although, there's nothing like hacing the actual catalog in your hands. I always get that giddy feeling

How much did the catalog and shipping costs set you back on it?

 

About $15.+- for a printed Classic catalog. I like to tag and reference pages when keeping notes. Kinda old school I guess.

 

There really isn't much anything like being able to look at 4 or 5 different 8" x 10" sections of somehting in seconds. I'm talking about books. Most computer screens are too small, or the PDF files are too big for some. I really can't stand looking at some brouchures in PDF, in real life they are folded funny, and you can tell that in the computer scan.

You can never go wrong with using multiple sources.
