I ordered a door handle trim piece on the 3-16-11 and still have not been invoiced for the total amount plus shipping. Whats the deal is this normal? It just says in progress on there site. I have no idea when the part will ship or when I will get it and I don't have the slightest clue what shipping will be. WHATS UP

I ordered from them a few days ago...and received an invoice with shipping cost so just call them.

I just ordered a shifter plate from them and came very quickly!!

 

depends, ive ordered things over the years. sometimes its ships right away other times it has taken over a week and a half to ship!

 

There going to be busier at certain times and a week and half is nothing for shipping...

 

Until some other company comes along and starts shipping the same day the order is placed. Then Hawks is in trouble. I ordered from Hawks and it took me emailing them to get any info and still don't have a tracking number. If I get the part this week I will order from them again, if not then I will use yearone from now on.

 

I placed my order for Hawks on March the 15th and it shipped the next day. I just arrived my order, a week later. Pretty good considering I live in Canada.

 

Placed mine the 3/15 and still have no clue when it will be here.

 

Well Item showed up today. Never got an email until it was delivered. I had ordered the trim thats goes around the door handle and it was broken when I got it out of the box. The tabs which hold on the power lock switch were both broke off. I called them and they said they would send me another out asap so I will see what happens next.

There's already a thread on hawks.. But anyways i ordered thousands of dollars from them and all arrived in perfect shape, on time (for the most part) and i got quality parts.. no complaints. They will deliver don't worry.

Hawks is a good vendor, if they could fix the shipping thing they'd be top notch, I've just gotten used to summits speed and knowing what I'm being charged at the time of purchase but they're also ridiculously big in comparison to hawks, but they can't get us certain parts so you take the good with the bad

I have been dealing with Bruce and Steven for about 3 years now, and I haven't had the first problem with them. Occasional it takes longer to recieve what I order, but considering they carry parts that you typically can't find anywhere else pretty much makes up for it. Good vendor, great customer service.

 

I have ordered from Hawks only twice but both times the items came quickly and in great condition. Also both times were from the website.

 

I can not recommend this vendor, ordered headliner on the 15th and still no headliner or tracking # to show that it shipped. Ordered a Kirkey seat on the 16th and got it last Saturday from Summit. Not a good first order and the lack of communication for this day and age isn't good. I would recommended Year-one or Classic Industries first.

 

Got the replacement trim piece as promised. Will use again Good vendor!

I've dealt with Steven a few times at Hawks, and have always had good service!!

Sometimes the "e-mail communication" takes a little time to filter through, but when in doubt, call them!!

Sometimes there will be "technical problems" that can be resolved via a simple two minute phone call, never hurts!!

Don't give up on them until you have heard from them verbally, or via the e-mail thingy!!

 

hmm I wasn't gonna reply to this but given what happened when I called, I have to respond. Given that I worked for the #1 Classic Chevy Truck parts place (www.classicparts.com) for 7 yrs as tech support and sales I feel I actually do know what I am talking about. I placed my order 3/15 and on 3/18 I received an email stating that the my order had shipped. Now I only received that email after I emailed them on the 18th to make sure they had received my order and there was no issues. The email stated that the order had shipped, and it said it takes 3-4 weeks for delivery. I emailed them back about the time frame as my car is sitting waiting for a headliner so I can install the 10pt cage. Steven responded back in a timely manner that,that only applies to "other" colors and that they keep med gray in-stock. Okay cool shipped out Friday the 18th, should be here in 5 days at most. By Thursday night I haven't seen it or received a tracking number yet, I email asking for it. I never received an answer to that email or one that was sent Monday. I called today and my headliner wasnt in stock and it would be 3-4 weeks. I had to cancel the order and explore other options.

In todays fast paced,smart phone enabled world we live in,email communication is very important in the mail order world. I order thousand's of dollars a year in computer parts and I get email the day the parts ship with tracking number. Once i get the tracking number I don't worry about my order, its on the way and i know when to be looking for it. I know Hawks is a small vendor and I understand that, when I started at Classic Parts we were a small place compared other vendors that had been in the marketplace for years. I ordered from them because they support this site which I have been a member of,for at least 7 years. I like that companies are making replacement parts for third gen F-bodies and Hawk's is carrying these parts for customers. My purpose isn't to bash Hawks, I hope they become big and successful like Classic Industries or Yearone but first fix the communication issues. Customer's should be notified if a item isnt in stock and given an option to cancel or keep the order. I plan to order from Hawks again, for the mentioned reasons and I hope it goes better then this order. I am rebuilding a 84 Z into a NMCA drag radial car, but I am restoring the car first so it will look like a brand new car when done. I am going to need alot of parts....

Can someone from Hawks make sure my order is canceled and my credit card is refunded the $239.99 in a timely manner?

Just curious... is this the same design as the one American Sports Cars used to make/sell?

 

I ordered from them 2 weeks ago from the site and through ebay for various lsx swap parts.They were kind enough to combine all my parts to one box and saved me on shipping charges.Answered all my questions via email within 24hrs..and i had a few lol.I cant complain about the service or shipping as of yet and this was my first time ordering from them.This site is what made me comfortable to try them out and the parts look of quality units.Thank you Hawks,now its back to work on getting my car running

Craig, I take full responsability in the mix up on your order. We normally always keep gray headliners in stock and the day you emailed and asked were your order was I didn't take the time to look and see if it had shipped from here or our manufacturer. I assumed that it shipped from here since it was a Med. Dark Gray headliner. When in reality it was dropshipped while we were waiting on our stocking order to come in. So I do appologize about that and if you do need anything else I hope this won't interfere with any future buisiness between us. Moral of the story, never assume things...

I ordered from them on Monday. Monday afternoon I had a tracking number, and today the item at my doorstep. Always had nothing but great service from Hawks. And I expect nothing but that quality of service in the future from them.. Keep up the great work!

 

It also depends on where you live, it took them about a week when I was in az and I haven't really ordered anything since I moved to washington, they're still a smaller company, a great one but like I said before they don't have the ability to have all of summit and jegs features but they're still awesome, bruce is a great guy and will always come through

Ordered a steering center link and idler arm not too long ago to finish off my steering rebuild. Took a while to ship and recieve them, but no issues at all. Given its a small operation, I didnt expect my items to ship that day and get them 2 days later like summit. I would do business with Hawks again without hesitation.

Very well, I need to get some pics up on the site for people to see. Ran it last fall then changed the rear end and suspension just this month. So the Engine, blower, intercooler, trans, new cage, fab9, semi-mini tub, madman suspension, new exhaust all done. Now we are going to scale the car and try to figure out the drag radial game. I will get video to you when it gets in the 8's. Thanks for all your help along the way.
